COMMERCIAL LOAN ORIGINATION
JOB RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:
- Underwrite commercial loan products following loan policy and procedures, and general prudent lending practices.
- Interview applicants for new loans and discuss loan products and requirements; Perform credit analysis and spreads on financial information; and communicate with management on loans.
- Site visitations to new borrowers and existing borrowers.
- Prepare & review files
- Follow up with tickler items.
- Prepare, review, and maintain various reports
- Stay informed on all policies, practices, regulations, and laws applicable to your position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience required.
- Prior experience in banking and/or lending is preferred, but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Communication Skills
- Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
- Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives.
- Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications
Reasoning Skills
- Good analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to retain broad knowledge of lending tasks.
- Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of lending operations and client needs.
